An established self performing residential developer in mid town Toronto has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Project Cost Controller.

About this role

• Supporting a high-volume portfolio of multi-year projects throughout the GTA
• Develop and maintain cost control procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals by providing accurate cost estimates.
• Monitor project expenses and track against budgetary constraints.
• Conduct regular cost variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
• Review contracts, change orders, and invoices to ensure accuracy and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Attending regular project status meetings
• Collaborate with project managers to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction cost management
• Special projects

 
Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in a Project Cost Control or related position.
• Extensive experience in cost control, and project management software and techniques.
• Experience with contract administration, and procurement 
• Ability to identify, analyze and minimize variances between actual and budgeted costs.
• Experience gathering data and compiling project specific reports.
• Ability to multitask and to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment while interacting with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
