Our client is a well recognized distributor/retailer of electronics across North America. They are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize inventory processes across various operational functions, including Hub and Spoke, RPP, International, and Retail & Partner Channels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing processes related to inventory control, order management, forecasting, supply planning, and reporting to ensure efficient and effective inventory management nationwide.

The Role:
  • Develop and manage processes to supply locations nationally with product for international customers.
  • Establish processes for managing on-hand inventory for sales, including warehousing fulfillment, redirection/recovery of product, and post-sales upgrades to customers nationally.
  • Manage the cost of fulfillment, vendor relationships, inventory security, and customer satisfaction/experience for all inventory processes.
  • Develop and manage processes to fulfill large-scale orders nationally, including product and accessories, for various clients with specific logistics requirements such as home and business delivery.
  • Ensure efficient management of the cost of fulfillment, vendor relationships, inventory security, and customer satisfaction/experience for all RPP-related orders.
  • Oversee the packing and exporting of product to international destinations.
  • Forecast inventory requirements, analyze promotion trends, and facilitate rollout.
  • Manage order management processes, including form maintenance, consolidation, review, adjustments, and processing, as well as follow-up with vendors for back orders and NR allocation for order processing.
  • Conduct location inventory audits, daily/monthly counts, inventory reconciliation, aged inventory monitoring, inventory adjustments, returns, and stock balancing.
  • Continuously review and improve inventory processes for efficiency and adequacy.
  • Monitor and report on various inventory-related metrics, including availability, market share, sales performance, inventory positioning, and turnover.
  • Manage product portfolio management, including vendor and SKU selection, negotiation, annual incentive programs, price adjustments, and clearance planning.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in inventory management or related roles with at least 3 years in management role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Experience with forecasting, supply planning, and order management.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
