With a plan of steady growth ahead, this prestigious Firm is seeking a VP Finance & Accounting.
Reporting to the President, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Manage accounting systems, procedures, and policies
- Oversee all accounting operations, transactions, and payments
- Perform financial planning and budgeting
- Recruit and train accounting staff (team of 4)
- Build relationships with lenders and financial institutions
- Prepare loan/DPI applications with required documents
- Negotiate financing terms with lenders
- Review progress reports with QS, lenders, and DPI providers
- Assist with capital raising document preparation
- Coordinate with lawyers on company setup and partnerships
- Manage acquisition timeline and filing of contracts
- Ensure HR policies comply with BC Employment Standards
- Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years experience in a senior leadership role within the real estate, construction or property development industry
- Strong understanding of Industry standards, laws, regulations and best practises.
- MUST speak Mandarin and English. Excellent people management, relationship building and communication skills, both written and verbal.
