Our client is an industry leader and supplier of Lumber & Specialty Wood Products in multiple states.
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to join our clients team. This position is based in Dallas, Texas, and offers a competitive salary of $150,000. As a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in the North Texas market by leveraging your established relationships with builders, contractors, and purchasing departments. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring long-term customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a Sales team and efforts for our lumber and specialty wood projects, targeting builders, contractors, and commercial clients across North Texas.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders, particularly purchasing departments and decision-makers within construction and building firms.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business growth.
- Identify new sales opportunities and proactively reach out to potential customers in the region.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolving any concerns or issues that may arise during or after sales transactions.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (operations, production, etc.) to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to inform pricing, product, and service offerings.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to network and expand the company’s presence within the lumber and specialty wood sector.
- Manage and track sales performance, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, with at least 10 years in the lumber, construction, or specialty wood product industry.
- Proven Sale Management experience leading a team of proactive hunters with a proven tack record of success
- Established network and strong relationships with North Texas builders, contractors, and purchasing departments.
- In-depth knowledge of the lumber and specialty wood market, including industry trends, products, and customer needs.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
