Position Overview:
The Windows Glazier Foreman will lead and manage glazing teams to ensure the successful installation of windows and glass products. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and exceptional communication abilities to work effectively with a diverse team and clientele. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of glazing tools, materials, and techniques, along with the ability to train and guide team members to ensure high-quality outcomes.


Responsibilities:

 
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the glazing crew on-site.
  • Utilize and ensure proper handling of tools and equipment such as glass cutters, grinders, glazing knives, suction cups, scaffolding, and lifts.
  • Ensure proper installation of windows, glass panels, and related materials according to specifications and safety standards.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, work orders, and project plans, providing clear instructions to the team.
  • Communicate project goals and expectations to the team.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure workmanship meets company standards.
  • Manage project timelines, materials, and labor to achieve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Enforce compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
  • Provide training and guidance to crew members on glazing techniques, material handling, and tool usage.
  • Maintain open communication with clients, contractors, and project managers.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of glazing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Proficiency in glass installation techniques, tools, and materials such as tempered glass, laminated glass, and curtain walls.
  • Familiarity with glazing system components, including sealants, frames, and weatherproofing materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues during installations
  • OSHA 30 preferred, OSHA 10 preferred and experience enforcing safety protocols.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
  • Previous experience in residential and commercial glazing projects.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is nice to have.
  • Familiarity with project management tools or software for scheduling and resource allocation.
