Since 2007, our client has specialized in installing, repairing, and maintaining residential roofs with a strong focus on customer service. They are also a successful franchisor with franchises throughout the United States. Their mission is to provide high-quality roofing services at competitive prices, ensuring homes are well-protected and comfortable. They are now seeking a hands-on CMO to drive their marketing initiatives and support their franchise network.

Position Overview:

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of the company's marketing and advertising initiatives. The CMO's primary responsibility is to generate revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing for the entire organization, using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising, and public relations. Additionally, the CMO will provide crucial support to the franchise network, ensuring brand consistency and helping franchises achieve local marketing success.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of advertising and marketing principles, including experience in coding, algorithms, and psychology-based campaign creation. 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Align the marketing strategy with the overall business goals and objectives.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor the marketing team.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Analyze competitors and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

Creative Development and Execution:

  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including digital, print, and social media campaigns.
  • Manage the company’s brand identity and ensure consistency across all platforms.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment of marketing strategies and initiatives.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Drive the company’s sales through innovative marketing strategies.
  • Develop pricing strategies to maximize profit and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.
  • Implement customer-centric marketing strategies to enhance customer experience and retention.

Interdepartmental Coordination:

  • Work closely with other executives to create alignment on strategy and execution plans.
  • Serve as a nexus of information between departments such as production, IT, corporate communications, public relations, law, human resources, and finance.

Digital Marketing and Technology:

  • Stay updated with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies.
  • Manage customer-facing technology implementations.
  • Optimize marketing automation and lead nurturing processes.

Franchise Support:

  • Provide marketing support and guidance to franchisees across the U.S., ensuring brand consistency and helping them achieve local marketing success.
  • Develop marketing materials and templates that can be customized by franchisees.
  • Collaborate with franchisees to create localized campaigns that align with the overall brand strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial planning.
  • Roofing experience is not required, but a background in construction or home improvement is a plus.
