As a Commercial Roofing Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing the costs and pricing for various commercial roofing projects. Your role is vital in ensuring that we offer competitive and precise estimates that align with our client's needs and industry standards

Our Client:

Our client is one of the largest commercial roofing contractors in the US with locations in most metro areas across the country and is currently ranked top 5 Roofing companies in the US.

What You’ll Do:

Selling Roofing Services: Identify potential clients and actively promote roofing services to generate leads and inquiries. This could involve marketing, networking, and direct outreach.
Project Evaluation: Collaborate with sales teams and project managers to review project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents. Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information.
Cost Estimation: Utilize your knowledge of commercial roofing materials, labor requirements, and industry standards to accurately estimate the cost of materials, labor, equipment, permits, and other project-related expenses.
Proposal Preparation: Prepare detailed and comprehensive proposals that outline the project scope, timelines, costs, and any additional requirements. Ensure that proposals align with client specifications and meet company profitability goals.
Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing for materials and equipment required for each project. Maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing and timely delivery.
Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis of completed projects to evaluate accuracy and identify areas for improvement. Utilize historical data and industry benchmarks to refine future estimating processes.
Customer Communication: Interact with clients to address their questions, provide clarifications, and explain cost breakdowns. Maintain a professional and customer-centric approach in all communications.
Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with clients to reach mutually agreeable contract terms and pricing. This may involve discussing adjustments or modifications to the proposal.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, sales teams, and subcontractors, to ensure accurate information exchange and seamless project execution.
Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with the latest trends, regulations, and advancements in the commercial roofing industry. Continuously expand your knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and cost-effective solutions.

What You’ll Need:

Experience: 5+ years of experience in estimating and selling roofing services, especially in the commercial sector, is required. 2–5 years of experience using the Edge System is a plus.
Roofing Knowledge: A strong understanding of commercial roofing systems, materials, installation methods, and relevant regulations is essential.
Sales Skills: Effective sales and negotiation skills to close deals and secure contracts.
Math and Estimation: Strong mathematical skills to accurately estimate project costs.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Market Awareness: Knowledge of local market conditions, pricing trends, and industry competition.
Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with software tools for estimating and proposal generation.
Client Focus: A customer-centric approach, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
