Job Title: Senior Associate - Mechanical Engineer Designer

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Salary: $120k - $150k + (Based on Experience)

Position Overview: The Senior Associate - Mechanical Engineer Designer will play a pivotal role in leading our mechanical engineering projects, managing staff, and driving business development initiatives. This leadership position is ideal for an ambitious professional looking to advance into a Principal role and have a stake in the company's future success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the design and development of mechanical systems for a variety of projects, including healthcare, institutional, and public sector buildings.
  • Manage and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Drive business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and contributing to proposal and bid processes.
  • Oversee project management activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and cohesive project delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is required.
  • Minimum of 8-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, with a focus on building systems.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of managing teams and projects successfully.
  • Strong business development skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and contribute to the company’s long-term growth and success.
